With a name like WINTER Park, people tend to flock to our ski slopes, but are unaware of the plethora of activities there are in our are during the Summer months! Located in the Rocky Mountains, Winter Park, Colorado, is a mecca for outdoor adventures and we’ve created a Bucket List for your to check off while visiting this Summer!

  1. Get a Picture with the Winter Park Moose and tag us on social media with #WPMoose!

    The iconic Moose is located in downtown Winter Park at the Winter Park Information Center. Stop in to find coupons and weekly calendars for events happening during your stay. For More Info on The Information Center, Click Here!
  2. Attend one of our MANY Summer Events Rendezvous Event Center in Hideaway Park!

    Take a look at our Signature Summer Events on and mark your calendar! The Town of Winter Park just built an incredible new stage and amazing acts will be coming to sing from the mountain tops. Many events are FREE to attend! Share a photo with us while in Hideaway Park by using the Hashtag, #winterparklife!
  3. Take Highway 40 to Grand Lake and through Rocky Mountain National Park!

    Winter Park, Colorado is the Westside Basecamp for Rocky Mountain National Park which is only 37 miles away. Visitors can stay and play in Winter Park and make a day trip through the Park and back. 
  4. Ride the Longest Alpine Slide in Colorado at Winter Park Resort!

    You can purchase single tickets for the slide or grab a day pass and enjoy all the Summer activities at the base of Winter Park Resort. Get a discount on Summer Activity Day Passes at the Winter Park Information Center. 
  5. Wildlife Spotting!

    Go for a hike on the 600+ miles of trail in our area and spot moose, deer, fox, birds and more! Share your photos with us on social media by tagging us in the photo or using the Hashtag #winterparklife!
  6. Put some Mountains in your Mountain Biking!

    Winter Park, Colorado is considered Mountain Bike Capital, USA™. We have over 600 miles or biking trails as well as two lift-access Bike Parks, Bike Granby Ranch and Trestle Bike Park. Whether you prefer the climb up or the ride down, there is a trail to test your skills in Winter Park! Use the Hashtag #BikeWP and show off your two-wheeled adventures!
  7. Hook a Big Fish!

    With 1,000 miles of streams, 1,000 acres of high mountain lakes, and 11,000 acres of reservoirs, Grand County's abundant resources accommodate fishing of all kinds. Enjoy world-class fishing in our gold medal waters that flow throughout Grand County. 
  8. See the stars at 9,000ft on a Camping Trip!

    From primitive with limited services to full-service campgrounds with showers and boat ramps, you will find the perfect campground for your next trip to Grand County. Cozy up to a campfire with friends and do some star-gazing with little to no light pollution. (Check Current Fire Bans before camping!)
  9. Hit the Links and see your drives Fly!

    Golfing at 9000ft means the air is thin and the ball travels further. Grand County has 4 incredible golf courses with Rocky Mountain views and challenging holes. 
  10. Summer Tubing at Snow Mountain Ranch!

    There’s is only the third tubing hill of its kind in the United States, and the first summer tubing hill in Colorado (there's only 2 in the state)! If you’ve enjoyed Winter Tubing, you will love the same experience in the Summer!
