This loop climbs predominantly as a bike path and dirt road and descends predominantly single track. The grade is never very steep but is continuous.
STARTING POINT:
- 0.0 miles- Start at “Winter Park Information Center” and head south on the sidewalk and then bike path for 2.4 miles to the intersection with “Trademark Dr.”
- 2.4 miles- Turn right on “Trademark Dr.” for .1 miles.
- 2.5 miles- Turn left on “Winter Park Dr.” for .2 miles.
- 2.7 miles- Turn left on “Old Town Dr.” for .2 miles and cross Hwy 40 at signaled crossing.
- 2.9 miles- Continue up “Lakota Trail” road for .1 miles.
- 3.0 miles- Merge right on “Arrow Trail” road for .5 miles.
- 3.5 miles- Turn right on “FS 128” dirt road for .1 miles.
- 3.6 miles- Turn left on “Buck Creek” jeep road for 2.1 miles.
- 5.7 miles- Turn right on “FS 149/Corona Pass Rd.” dirt road for .1 miles.
- 5.8 miles- Turn left on “Broken Thumb” trail for 3.1 miles.
- 8.9 miles- Turn left on “FS 128” dirt road for .3 miles.
- 9.2 miles- Turn right on “Twisted Ankle” single track for 1.1 miles.
- 10.3 miles- Turn right on “South Fork Loop” single track for .6 miles.
- 10.9 miles- Turn right on “Burnout Loop” trail for .3 miles to beginning of loop (counter-clockwise recommended) .
- 11.2 miles- Turn right for 1.3 mile loop.
- 12.5 miles- Turn right on “Burnout Loop” trail for .3 miles.
- 12.8 miles- Turn Right on “South Fork Loop” dirt road for .1 miles.
- 12.9 miles- Turn left on “Idlewild” single track for .3 miles.
- 13.2 miles- Turn right on “Ditch Trail” single track for .8 miles.
- 14.0 miles- Turn left on “Homestead” jeep road for .1 miles.
- 14.1 miles- Turn left on “Crosstrails” single track for .4 miles.
- 14.5 miles- Turn right on “Winterwoods” single track for .3 miles.
- 14.8 miles- Merge right onto “Serendipity” single track for .6 miles.
- 15.4 miles- Turn right on “Yankee Doodle” for 1.4 miles.
- 16.8 miles- Continue straight on “Ski Idlewild Road” for .1 miles.
- 16.9 miles- Hop on “Vasquez Creek Bike Path” past skateboard park for .3 miles.
- 17.2 miles- Left at “US Hwy 40” and .1 miles to “Winter Park Information Center” and end of loop.
