Growing up in Sheboygan, WI I didn’t have a lot of opportunities to go hiking so now that we live here, we like to get the kids out as often as possible. Being in nature brings a sense of peace and an understanding of just how connected to the earth and the universe we are like nothing else can. I am a 34 year-old father, husband, and recovering alcoholic. I quit drinking two years ago and once I picked up a paint brush last September it felt like a big piece of the puzzle that was missing in my life had been put into place. I paint daily now and aspire to become a full time artist with a studio in my home where I can spend as much time with my family as possible. My son was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes when he was two years old and my plan is to donate as much money as I can through my art sales to Juvenile Diabetes Research to one day find a cure.
