Most of us take for granted that we can ski and do all our other favorite outdoor sports free from limitations. But many cannot. The National Sports Center for the Disabled (NSCD) is one of the largest outdoor therapeutic recreation centers in the world and has been helping children and adults with disabilities enjoy their favorite outdoor adventures since the first time they helped 23 amputees learn to ski in Winter Park, Colorado in 1970.

The NSCD offers a variety of exciting winter adventures, including alpine skiing, snowboarding, Nordic hut trips, ski biking, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing and ski racing. The NSCD's programs are fine-tuned for individuals, families and groups, offering opportunities for all ability levels, from beginner to advanced. The programs run from mid-November to late April.

For individual or group reservations, visit NSCD.org or call 303.515.6723. Reservations are strongly recommended. Visiting during the summer? NSCD offers summer adventures, too.
