From wildflower-filled meadows to rushing rivers, the mountain landscape in Winter Park is a playground for outdoors lovers. This summer, escape to Winter Park for the weekend, and choose an adventure that makes your heart sing, whether it’s whitewater rafting, zip lining, hiking or just taking in the natural splendor.

Thursday

Take in the breathtaking scenery as you drive through the mountains on your way to the Fraser Valley, where you’ll find picturesque accommodations; from vacation homes to hotels, the Winter Park area has an accommodation type made to fit your style.

After checking in, stop into Downtown Winter Park for a bite to eat or take your meal to-go and head down to Rendezvous Event Center for High-Note Thursday, a free concert on Thursdays in the summer.

Pro tip: Sign up for a Winter Park Experience Pass and gain access to deals and discounts as well as the insider's guide to incredible local adventures and experiences. It is free and available on your mobile device.

Friday

Take time to explore Winter Park Resort. Summer offerings include Colorado’s longest alpine slide, human maze, scenic chairlift rides, and mini golf, to name a few.

Afterward, take some time to do a little shopping and browse our art galleries. Whether you are looking for unique gifts, lifestyle clothing, jewelry, camping gear, the latest in bike and ski equipment, or a nice bottle of wine, Winter Park is your hub. Be sure to stroll through Hideaway Park while you are at it. There is a short walking path along the Fraser River nearby that connects the park to Confluence Park. Looking for some evening fun? Visit The Foundry Cinema & Bowl for some bowling and movies!

Saturday

Start your day off right—with a paddle in your hand and the sunshine on your shoulders. Go on a guided half-day rafting trip with one of the many rafting outfitters. You’ll enjoy a gentle float along the Upper Colorado River, passing through jagged canyons in the Gore Range and Mountain Ranchland as you ride the easygoing rapids.

After your morning on the water, mosey over to Main Street in Winter Park to grab a bite to eat at one of our great, local restaurants.

Then, find your way to one of our many trailheads for a nice, after lunch stroll.

Once the sun begins to set, it’s time to seek out dinner. The Winter Park and Fraser area has many restaurants, sure to satisfy everyone's taste buds.

Sunday

On your last day, make every moment count. Explore the mountains on two wheels at one of our great downhill bike areas. We have options for the thrill-seekers, and beginners.

Once you’ve worked up an appetite, refuel with a bite to eat before the journey home!
