“Settle back, easy Jim…” The iconic lyric from Robert Hunter’s Althea captured the spirit of the band when it first formed in the fall of 2018. Hailing from the mountains of Gunnison and Crested Butte, Colorado, Easy Jim is a laid-back group of seasoned musicians bonded by a deep love for the music of the Grateful Dead.

This six-piece ensemble mirrors the Dead’s classic lineup—complete with two drummers and rich, four-part vocal harmonies. Known for their adventurous improvisation, tight musicianship, and electrifying energy, Easy Jim delivers a unique experience every time they take the stage. No two shows are alike, but every performance is a heartfelt tribute to one of rock 'n' roll’s most legendary bands.
