Summer Starts Sooner - Memorial Day Weekend in Winter Park
Summer is arriving ahead of schedule in the Fraser Valley, and it’s bringing a free, live concert with it. On Saturday, May 23, 2026, from 4:30 to 8:00 p.m., the community is invited to celebrate “Summer Starts Sooner in Winter Park” with a high-energy Memorial Day Weekend event anchored by a free outdoor concert featuring Mat Kearney, with supporting act Rob Drabkin. - NO TICKET NEEDED. Hosted at the Rendezvous Event Center in Downtown Winter Park, and extending throughout town, the celebration blends live music, family-friendly activities, and local business specials into one vibrant, walkable experience. Whether you're a local or visiting from the Front Range, this is your invitation to kick off summer.

Event Details
The venue will include several other free family activities surrounding the stage that attendees can enjoy including a mechanical bull, bouncy castle, lawn games, and more. Please note that the Hideaway Park playground is currently under construction and will be closed during the event.
Limited food will be available for purchase within the venue however you are more than welcome to bring your own picnic or takeout from one of our local restaurants. If you want to dine out before you show, we’d recommend making a reservation. Check Out Our Local Restaurants
A beer garden will be available where you can purchase beer, wine, or cocktails. Please note that all alcoholic beverages purchased in the beer garden must be consumed within the designated area.
You are also welcome to purchase alcohol from local liquor stores and bring it into the venue. Outside alcohol may be consumed in areas outside of the beer garden.
Music will not be cancelled unless a rain delay surpasses 8:30pm. In that case, there will be no performance.
