Karen Fletcher Fine Art

Welcome! I am a painter working in acrylic, oil and gouache. My choice of subjects is varied, ranging from mountain and desert landscapes to wildlife and horses. In my work, I strive to capture the sense of a place, the spirit and personality of an animal, the beauty of light and shadow. I split my easel time between my Tabernash studio and the great outdoors in Grand County and beyond.

I've been lucky enough to study with Scott Christensen, Tim Deibler, Judd Mercer, Dianna Shyne and Jed Dorsey. Outside of the studio, I enjoy Nordic skiing, mountain biking, waterskiing, CrossFit, hiking and trying to grow whatever the chipmunks won't eat during our very short Rocky Mountain summers!
