Winter Park Resort offers ski bike lessons, rentals, tours and night bikes for your winter enjoyment.

Ski Bike Lessons

Advanced reservations are highly recommended to guarantee a spot. Ski bike lessons (ages 13+) are offered daily at 9:30 a.m. and meet in front of West Portal Rentals at 9:15 a.m. Sign up for a lesson and rent a bike from the West Portal rental location 30 minutes prior to the meeting time.

Bring snowboard boots or winter boots for Lenzsport full-suspension foot peg bikes. Lesson participants receive a Lenzsport type II ski bike photo license at completion. Ski bikes are not permitted in terrain parks. Find pricing and reservation information at Winter Park Resort.

Ski Bike Rentals

Daily ski bike rentals (ages 13+) are available on a walk-in basis only at West Portal Rentals. Guest must provide a Winter Park ski bike photo license achieved in a lesson or proof of competency.

Rental ski bikes are type II Lenzport ski bikes, similar to downhill mountain bikes with skis instead of wheels. Type II ski bikes are ridden standing up, motocross style. Please wear snowboard boots or other soft winter boots. Ski bikes are not permitted in terrain parks. Find rental rates at West Portal Outfitters.

Ski Bike Day Tours

Interested in a tour? Book one through Winter Park Resort. Meet your ski bike guide at Winter Park Resort Rentals Village location for outfitting, then head to Sorensen Park for orientation on the use of the Type I Brentner/K2 sit-down-style ski bike, including chairlift loading and safety considerations.

Board the Gemini Express chairlift to the top of Discovery Park and your guide will lead you on a variety of ski bike trails including Discovery Park, Village Way and Parkway.

The tour group makes laps until about 4 p.m. Routes and chairlifts depend on group ability — Zephyr Express chair may be ridden only with advanced groups. Tours are offered morning and afternoon, by appointment only.

Night Bike Tours

Two-hour night bike tours are available Friday and Saturday nights from mid-December to late March when the gondola operates for evening dinners at the Lodge at Sunspot. It's the perfect activity to see the mountain in a whole different light.

Tours include a guide, ski bike rental, orientation, gondola lift access, helmet, headlight, glasses and visibility vest. Night ski bikes are type I unless a type II license is shown ahead of time. Advance reservations are required for all ski bike tours. For more information and to book, please contact the tour center direct at 970.726.1616.
