Colorado’s Favorite Playground offers fun for the whole family this summer –


Winter Park-Fraser Valley, Colo. – The Winter Park & Fraser Chamber invites visitors to bring the whole family – kids and canines alike – to partake in summer fun in Colorado’s Favorite Playground. With so many activities and events, there is something for every type of kid in your family.

Winter Park Visitor Center – The Winter Park & Fraser Visitor Center and Chamber of Commerce, located at 78841 US Highway 40 in the heart of Winter Park, is the best place to start when visiting. Dogs are welcome inside, where friendly and knowledgeable staff provide information, maps, event details and information on local deals to the humans.

Mountain Bike Capital USATM – Over 600 miles of trails make Winter Park irresistible for two-wheeled travelers – and their four-legged friends! Numerous marked trails plus two bike parks offer easy, moderate and difficult routes for every level biker, and some trails are dog friendly. Festivals – Winter Park hosts a myriad of festivals and live music events, many of them free and pet-friendly! For example, at High-Note Thursdays, man and man’s best friend can enjoy free live music in Hideaway Park every Thursday night from June 19 to Aug. 19. Pets must be on a leash, though, so they don’t attempt to steal picnic dinners!


Dog Cart Rides and Kennel Tours – For dog-less guests, Winter Park loves to show off their own furry friends, the amazing sled dogs of Dog Sled Rides of Winter Park. Even without snow, these tough pups will pull riders on carts for a thrilling swing around the trails.
