Winter Park & Fraser Chamber Announces Dates for Signature Summer Events
– Colorado’s Favorite Playground offers fun-filled festivals for everyone –

Winter Park-Fraser Valley, Colo. – The Winter Park & Fraser Chamber today announced the dates for its signature summer events. Music, breweries, horses and athletes turn Winter Park into a summer playground for visitors.

There are even special summer festival lodging deals that visitors can book to make a vacation out of these events.

Summer vacationers can round out their trip to Colorado’s Favorite Playground with additional activities and attractions. Called Mountain Bike Capital U.S.A.™, the area boasts 600 miles of mountain bike trails. Hiking, fly-fishing, whitewater rafting, hot air ballooning, horseback riding, golfing, and a host of other activities are unforgettable in the breathtaking setting of the Colorado Rockies.

  • June 27-29: Blues from the Top, presented by the Grand County Blues Society (Hideaway Park, Winter Park)
    The Grand County Blues Society presents the 12th year of this fun fest, featuring artists from seven countries. Headlining performers include The Healers, Ana Popovic, Kara Grainger, and Austin Young with special guests Jimmy Carpenter and Deanna Bogart. Blues-hounds can gear up for the jam-packed weekend at the free concert at Hideaway Park on Thursday, July 27.
  • July 4: Lance Gutersohn’s 4th of July Celebration (The Fraser Sports Complex, Fraser)
    Start your Fourth of July weekend with this family-friendly event, which includes a full afternoon bustling with activities like kids games and inflatables, hay rides, balloon rides by REMAX Peak to Peak, and a community picnic with food vendors available on site. The fireworks display begins at night fall.
  • July 5: Rendezvous Run for Independence (Winter Park/Fraser)
    This annual five-mile fun run/walk event traces the Fraser River Trail from Winter Park Resort to Fraser. It is for all ages and abilities and benefits the Scott Hughes Foundation and Children’s Hospital. Participants get a t-shirt and an entry into the prize drawings, which take place at the post-race party.
  • July 5: Winter Park SolShine Music Festival (Hideaway Park, Winter Park)
    Part of the Odell Brewing Company Concert Series, it is the 4th year of this free festival that features G Love & Special Sauce. Merchandise and food vendors will be on hand, and there is a beer garden to add to the festive environment.
  • July 5-August 16: High Country Stampede Rodeo (Fraser)
    The 31st year of this summer rodeo presented by the Winter Park Horseman’s Association features more than 2,000 cowboys and cowgirls competing every Saturday in traditional rodeo events like bull riding, calf scramble and mutton busting. Event-goers with little buckaroos won’t want to miss Family Fun Night on July 26.
  • July 12-13: Rendezvous Rock N’ Ride Weekend (Hideaway Park, Winter Park)
    New this season is this fun-filled bike weekend to celebrate Winter Park as Mountain Bike Capital USA™. There will be bike tours for all abilities to sample the 600 miles of trails in the area, as well as the Epic Singletrack Race #3 Rendezvous Circuit. A full weekend of music, sponsored by the Odell Brewing Company and taking place throughout Winter Park, features headliner Leftover Salmon and friends.   • July 19-20: Winter Park Jazz Festival (Hideaway Park, Winter Park)
    Colorado Access presents the 32nd year of Colorado’s biggest summer music festival, which is part of the Odell Brewing Company Concert Series this year. The lineup will include some of the jazz world’s biggest stars, with headliners George Benson and Brian McNight. Other acts include Larry Graham and Graham Central Station, Boney James, Jazz,Funk & Soul, and Chrisette Michele, to name a few. Book tickets and lodging early; this show sells out every year.
  • Aug. 2: Winter Park Music Festival (Hideaway Park, Winter Park)
    Hideaway Park amphitheater keeps the free live music rolling at this festival, which is also part of the Odell Brewing Company Concert Series. This year’s lineup features Eddie Money, Rick Deringer and The Groove Hawgs.
  • Aug. 9: Winter Park Beer Festival (Hideaway Park, Winter Park)
    In its 5th year this beer bash features a sampling from 30-plus craft breweries. Unlimited tasting and VIP access tickets are a must for beer aficionados and the fun-loving alike. Live music, merchandise and food vendors keep the buzz and festivities going.
