Park visitors can also tour the well-restored ranch throughout the weekend to learn how Prohibition, the building of Trail Ridge Road and good old-fashioned grit helped create a dude ranch that operated for more than 40 years.
Take the Grand Lake Then & Now Tour
Start at the Grand Lake Chamber and Visitor Center for a self-guided tour of historic locations that travelers to RMNP’s west side have been frequenting over the Park’s 100-year history.
It’s hard to imagine an area more spectacularly rich in history and natural wonders than Rocky Mountain National Park’s west side. Hike or ride a mountain trail, learn how area pioneers beat the odds, celebrate 100 years of conservation and then come home to comfortable lodging in Winter Park or Grand Lake, Colorado. It won’t be the same celebration without you!
