Overview
You’ve never seen so many stars as you’ll see in our night sky when you’re at 8500 feet. And the profusion of wildflowers from spring through fall offers you a chance to see more purples, golds, oranges and greens than you knew were possible.
In our area you can see elk bugling in the fall, bighorn sheep lambing in the spring, coyotes howling, beavers building, marmots, picas and squirrels chasing one another, and eagles soaring aloft. Spend a day fly-fishing on the Fraser River or feel the crunch of pine cones underfoot as you hike one of our 600+ miles of trails. Come fall, don’t miss the unbelievable explosion of crimson and gold as you experience the aspen leaves changing.
