Grand County Rural Health Network
Our purpose is to provide a collaborative approach to the complex issues of health care today. Offering quality primary, preventative, and emergent healthcare is the focus of this Network. It brings together a multitude of perspectives including public, private, for profit, and nonprofit views. The Network is committed to working through consensus to problem solve, and to design and implement solutions that serve all of Grand County.Our goal is to implement an integrated healthcare delivery system to meet the needs of our growing population and to revitalize and strengthen the local economy. Developed and delivered through the collaborative efforts of multiple healthcare providers, facilities, and agencies throughout the country, and their partners, this system calls for new facilities, new and expanded services, and a health professional recruitment strategy.
In summary, our goals are to:
-Create an interdependent, self-sustaining healthcare system, focused on health and well being, with facilities and services that begin to meet our needs now and will grow and change with the needs of the community.
-Provide access to--and delivery of--healthcare services locally, and reduce the amount of care obtained outside of the county to 50%.
-Offer the citizens of the county the availability of quality local healthcare through collaborative relationships between healthcare providers and healthcare facilities.
HOW IT WILL BE ACCOMPLISHED: The plan is extensive and will require incremental development through several structured phases. While some improvements will be implemented near term, the plan will roll out over approximately 10 years. This is a vision to meet the healthcare needs of the county for 20-25 years. It will involve participants from throughout the county, community support, time, money, and commitment to implement.
Private financing through banks, federal loan programs, community and other philanthropic fundraising will fund the program.
